Singing lessons

Throughout the year, Kathleen offers short blocks of singing lessons to students. These blocks run for between 2 - 4 weeks, during which time students can book a one off lesson or a weekly lesson. Please note however that she is not currently taking on students for long-term tuition. In person/online

Kathleen offers 1 to 1 singing lessons in person from a studio in the west of Glasgow.

Kathleen also offers lessons online. Students taking online lessons will require access to a laptop with a good quality microphone. Please get in touch if you have any queries relating to this.

Lesson format

All lessons last 1 hour and comprise a warm-up, some technical exercises, and repertoire coaching. Students can bring their own repertoire to work on or Kathleen can suggest material. Students are encouraged to explore a wide range of genres however Kathleen's expertise is in teaching western classical music - opera & art songs. Kathleen is also a Gaelic speaker and is happy to teach Gaelic song.

LGBT+ affirming practice

All lessons are designed to suit the individual and Kathleen practices in an LGBT+ affirming way - selecting repertoire and adapting technical exercises to ensure that LGBT+ identities are respected, and all students can engage in a way which affirms their identity and respects their individual needs. Kathleen has undertaken trans voice training and is committed to continuing CPD to ensure she is working as inclusively as possible.

Fees
